Flow Yoga is our most energetic offering at Village Yoga. Playful and creative sequences rhythmically link breath to slow and mindful movement while building strength, balance and flexibility. Alignment is emphasized and modifications are offered. This is a multi-level class for the healthy body.
During Gentle Yoga, we will allow more time to warm up the body before we practice mostly stationary Yoga postures. Balance, strengthening and core work are all part of this gentle class which is suitable for beginners and all levels of students. You need to be able to get up and down from your mat for this class.
This is our most gentle class and perfect for the beginning student, the "creaky" student, or, for the seasoned student who wants to experience the benefits of a sweet, stretchy, nurturing practice. We will spend the time to stretch and open the lines of the body and pay special attention to our precious backs. Core and back strengthening postures will be emphasized, and gentle yoga postures will complete this yummy class.
A gentle but flowing Yoga class accessibe to all levels of Yoga students. Students will stretch, strengthen & practice traditional Yoga postures while moving very slowly and mindfully...on the breath.
This evening class will begin with an all-levels Flow and end with one or two restorative postures that will send you home feeling rested and relaxed. A perfect and balanced way to end your day.
This 50-minute class is for children ages 5-10 years. Children will learn how to focus and center themselves with breathing and visualization techniques while improving strength, flexibility, and coordination. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses and partner and group poses. We encourage parents to practice with their kiddos ...for free!
Price is $10.00 per class, and just $7 for siblings!
Using breathwork, gentle flow of movement, & meditation, we will explore. We will look deeply at what it means to support ourselves throughout our everyday lives.
A quiet, small group setting will be utilized to ensure integrity, respect, & well-being.
This weekly class is designed to de-compress, to open our bodies and minds, and allow “life energy” to flow, thus restoring ourselves on a multitude of levels. Come join a class and see what it has to offer...just for you! Taught by Mark Hunsicker
Join Certified Pilates Instructor Howard Wallace for a fun and energetic Mat Pilates class! Mat Pilates focuses on using breath, concentration and flow to improve core strength and flexibility, lengthen muscles and strengthen the entire core. This 50-minute class is appropriate for all levels of students and it will leave you feeling energetic and renewed. Regular class prices and packages apply.
